Been sick this week so have stayed close to home and have been watching the birds......hummingbirds especially...I am amazed at how aggressive hummingbirds are and how they do everything possible to protect their feeding station and territory and never seem to give up even when the storms come....we have had thunderstorms much of this week and during the storm each evening these little creatures still made it to the feeder and still furiously defended their territory...made me think how that could also pertain to us...we have weakened our stance on many issues over the years or just have been complacent and watched while our freedoms are being taken away and now we all face many storms because of it....what a difference we all could make in our own lives and the lives of our family, friends and country if we had even a quarter of the tenacity and determination these little creatures have...What a lesson I took away from watching these hummingbirds.
