God wants us to give to others because He wants us to do our part to enrich the lives for those who are poor, suffering and underprivileged. The ones who are less fortunate also have their role to play- God wants to see if they can endure their suffering. God wants them to suffer because that is their own unique way of suffering that God has given to them. We all need to suffer someway in order to get closer to Him since without suffering, we would not be able to maximize our faith development and our relationship with Him." -Chris Ralph
